2 Year Old Gift Guide

2 Year Old Gift Guide

Eloise turns 2 years old today. Last weekend we celebrated her birthday in a “Party Animal” themed birthday (that blog post is coming up in the next few days!). It can be hard to come up with gift ideas for 2 year olds, especially second children. You likely have all of the typical toys like the toy kitchens, etc. I’ve included a few of Eloise’s favorite things here plus some fun ideas on her current wish list here to help other mamas out!

  1. VTech KidiBeats Drumset: The luxury of shopping for an almost-two-year old is that you an bring them with you to gauge their interest on toys. We put this toy in front of Eloise at Target and she LOVED it. Brandon loves playing with it too.
  2. Hunter Boots: These boots go with literally everything (in my opinion) and are especially perfect during the colder months. The perfect leaf and snow stomping boots!
  3. This Little Trailblazer: A Girl Power Primer: We came across this book at Barnes and Noble a few months ago and we knew we had to get it for Eloise’s birthday! We are a girl power/feminist family and this book is the perfect way to show a little girl all the wonderful women who came before her and what they accomplished.
  4. Bundle & Pine Clothing Rack: Two years old starts the magical years of alllll the princess dress up clothes. I remember Charlotte LIVED in her Cinderella costume. It’s such a sweet time. This rack is such a sweet way to display all of your little princess’ dress up clothes!
  5. Playskool Sit ‘n Spin: Nostalgia alert! This toy will bring you back to the 90’s and all of it’s dizzy goodness! This is the perfect toy to make your sweet toddler belly laugh for hours.
  6. Kids Chef Costume Set: Our girls love to help me cook when they can. Eloise is super curious about food and dishes and all the kitchen things. This set offers a fun way for her to use her imagination and pretend to cook on her own!
  7. Melissa & Doug Wooden Beauty Salon Play Set: We are pretty much obsessed with all things Melissa & Doug in our house! This adorable little beauty salon play set is made well and will keep your little beauty occupied for hours.
  8. Wheely Bug Scooter : This toy combines two of Eloise’s favorite things… being pushed around in the wheeled laundry basket (parent of the year, obviously) and animals. I mean, you really can’t go wrong with a scooter that makes 360 degree turns and allows them to develop gross motor skills.
  9. Suspender Skirt: This Amazon cheapie is SO GOOD. I love classic styles and it’s really hard to fill her whole closet with the expensive stuff I love from small shops. These suspender dresses are great options for mamas on a budget! Also, there are so many color options!
  10. Leap Frog Tad’s Fridge Phonics: It is never too early to start teaching our kids letter sounds and how to put words together. We found this toy at Target and Eloise loved the sounds it would make and we loved the learning capabilities of it!

PERFECT TIMING! My godchild is turning 2 this November and to be honest I haven’t found a gift yet. I want something that’d make her active and educational at the same time. I would love for her to have the Kids Chef Costume Set or the Little Trailblazer. Thank you for compiling all these!
